About The Local Pearl

In 1999, Henry and Michele Salgado, along with Henry's brother Matt, opened a small restaurant beachside called Spanish River Grill. Quickly becoming one of the most popular restaurants for locals and tourists alike, SRG expanded in size, earned rave reviews, and won Chef Henry a James Beard nomination.

After selling SPG, the Salgados have contributed to restaurants around the area and the region, with the latest venture of The Local Pearl

Once again reunited with Matt, the Salgados invite you to The Local Pearl on historic Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach. Working with local oyster purveyors, local farmers, creating interesting menu items, and participating in sustainable programs like Shuck & Share, The Local Pearl won't disappoint.
